The Alabama Museum of Natural History features exhibits from the Age of Dinosaurs, the Coal Age, and the Ice Age. The Museum is also home to the Hodges meteorite, the only meteorite know to have struck a human. Educational programming includes workshops, tours, Expeditions, Natural History with the Experts, as well as other natural history programs and fieldtrips. Housed in historic Smith Hall, the Museum is one of the finest examples of Beaux-Arts architecture in the region.
