The Chicago Children’s Museum is an interactive science museum who’s primary audience is children Pre-K through fifth grade including their families, along with the school and community groups that support and influence children's growth and development. Among the permanent exhibits are Dinosaur Expedition, where visitors can travel back in time 100 million years and discover the fish eating dinosaur Suchomimus, and Treehouse Trails, where visitors can explore a recreated natural landscape of trees and rivers. In addition to its exhibits, the museum offers educator programs which include accredited professional development for care givers and teachers in inquiry-based interactive learning. The museum offers a variety of volunteer opportunities and college internships, on and off-site programming aligned with educational standards, as well as the online Learning Connection which presents articles, tips and activities designed to enrich the relationship between play and learning, and between child and caregiver. Also online are fun games and puzzles for young children.
