The Coyote Point Museum is a learning center that seeks to inspire a lifelong commitment to act responsibly in caring for the earth. The Museum provides engaging, educational experiences for a diverse, multi-generational community through wildlife, gardens, exhibitions, and programs that relate to the global environment. The newly refurbished 4,000 square foot walk-through Aviary houses over four-dozen native California birds. The Honeybee exhibit features a live beehive, with information on wild and commercial hives, an interactive display explaining the anatomy of honeybees, and products made with honey and beeswax. Tools used in commercial beekeeping are also on display, with some beekeeping gear available for visitors to try on. Onsite programming for Pre-K through Middle School, homeschool groups, Scouts, and clubs is available, as well as off site programming featuring live animals. Science-based teacher professional development is also available.
