The Museum of Discovery and Science features over 200 interactive exhibits, where one can see sharks and the largest living Atlantic coral reef in captivity, hang out with bats, be charmed by a 12-foot snake, and pet alligators, turtles and iguanas. Visitors can explore the 11,000 square foot nature trail and learn about Florida's Everglades in the Living in the Everglades exhibit. The Runways to Rockets exhibit educates visitors in space science, and features simulated trips to the Moon or Mars. The IMAX theater has many Earth science films that correlate with programming. Onsite outreach programs include topics on Earth science, botany, physics and the environment, with an educators guide available as a PDF online.
